Raymond Lallemant, quien fuera el 1er comandante de la base. El coronel Lallemant fue miembro de la RAF durante la 2da Guerra mundial, en el periodo en que Belgica fue ocupada por las tropas alemanas. Participó en muchas misiones pilotando tanto aviones Spitfire como asi tambien el Hawker Typhoon (Squadron 609). fue participe de la MISION JERICHO, como asi tambien volo en los cielos durante el desembarco de Normandía . Coronel Lallemant estara siempre entre
nosotros...!!!.


Some shots of the inside of the Spitfire Museaum with the Spitfire Mk XIV of the Colonel Raymond Lallemant who was the first Commanding Officer of the base. Colonel Lallemant was a member of the RAF
during the WW2. Belgium was in this period occupied by the Germans. He made many missions on Spifire and Hawker Typhoon. He was member of the mission "Jericho" and was in the sky of Normandy during the landing of June 1944. Colonel Lallemant is still alive.
