Marzo 2012.- Sistemas FABA, división de Navantia, elige FIDAE para mostrar, porprimera vez fuera de España, su Sistema de Exploración y ReconocimientoTerrestre (SERT), integrado para demostración en un vehículo Hummer, pero conposibilidad de ser integrado en cualquier otro tipo de vehículo. FABA trabajacon los principales fabricantes de vehículos en España y en Europa.
Esun sistema absolutamente novedoso, que es la evolución del sistema para elobservador avanzado de artillería desarrollado para asumir las funciones deobservación artillera en España, de gran eficacia, que ofrece modularidad, adaptabilidad yoperatividad todo tiempo.
Permiterealizar funciones de vigilancia, detección e identificación de objetivos encondiciones tanto diurnas como nocturnas o de visibilidad reducida. Asimismo, ygracias a los sensores de posicionamiento integrado, tiene capacidad de localización geográfica de objetivos, con extraordinaria precisiónautomatizando el proceso, reduciendo el tiempo de misión y mejorando laeficacia de los observadores.
Algunospaíses han mostrado ya su interés por el SERT, con lo que FIDAE será el marcoideal para que delegaciones de estos países puedan comprobar el funcionamientodel mismo y su amplio abanico de posibilidades. Además, Sistemas FABA pretendeestablecer contactos con industrias locales de cara a la adaptación del SERT envehículos existentes en las Fuerzas Armadas de Latinoamérica.

NAVANTIA SHOWSABROAD FOR THE FIRST TIME ITS LAND EXPLORATION AND RECONNAISSANCE SYSTEM
March 2012. Sistemas FABA, a Division of Navantia, haschosen FIDAE as the best platform to show for the first time out of Spainits Land Exploration and Reconnaissance System (SERT), integrated on a Hummervehicle but with the possibility of integration in any other type of vehicle.FABA works with the main vehicle manufacturers in Spainand Europe.
It’s a state of the art and highly efficientsystem, evolved from the advanced artillery observation system developed forthe artillery observation missions in Spain. It also offers modularity,adaptability and all weather and day/night operation.
The system SERT can carry out surveillance, target detectionand identification in day/night and low visibility conditions. Thanks to itsintegrated positioning sensors, the SERT has the ability to geographicallylocate targets, with extraordinary precision in an automated process, thusreducing the mission’s duration and improving the observer’sefficiency.
Several countries have already shown their interest inthe SERT system, reason why FIDAE will be the ideal show case for thedelegations of these countries to have the opportunity of verifying its performancesand wide range of applications. At the same time, Sistemas FABA will contactlocal industries for joint collaboration in the adaptation of the SERT systemon board existing vehicles of the Latin American Armed Forces.
